Carcano 1891/28 Carbines for Special Troops, 1st Model. Chambered in 6.5×52 Carcano. All carbines are in fair condition and are 100% operational. These carbines came from Ethiopia. These carbines have worn finish as shown by the photos above. The stocks are in fair to good condition on these guns, but they may have small cracks, scratches, dings, and handling wear as they are at least 70-100 years old. Upper handguards are in fair condition and there may be cracks. Upper handguard may be loose fitting. Bores vary from poor to good. May or may not include original cleaning rod.

Took a chance on the $250 dollar Carcano First Model TS.. Was not disappointed at all! AGAIN, another great example of an historical gun and in GREAT SHAPE! (only missing the cleaning rod; to be expected). With some barrel cleaning and a good wipe down this gun will look absolutely fabulous among a WW1 collection (mine was from 1901). REMEMBER all of you sob-heads! THESE ARE MIL-SURP GUNS (FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DON’T UNDERSTAND, THAT MEANS MILITARY SURPLUS AND THAT MEANS THSES WERE USED I\BY SOLDIERS IN THE FIELD!!! Stop complaining each time you receive a gun that has dents, scratches or wear…that’s what these are! If you want a “trailor queen” (classic car term) go buy a gun that was “re-conditioned…or better yet, just go buy a new gun.

I ordered one of the individually listed 91TS First Models. It was listed as having a good bore. When I received it i noticed a couple of issues. The rear site was bent and the front sling swivel was missing. To RTI’s credit they took care of this and are sending out replacement parts free of charge. The bore on this particular rifle was not good, It was actually excellent after cleaning. No rust or pitting at all, bright and shiny with strong rifleing. The stock cleaned up good as well. In my opinion, it was well worth the price for the individually listed ones. I’m very pleased with the carbine and RTI’s customer service.
