French St. Etienne M. 16 Berthier Rifle, Serial Number 4008
This rifle is in fair to good surplus condition. The bolt is functional and operates smoothly. The bolt is not matching numbers.
The bore is in fair to good condition. The wood is in fair to good condition, showing handling wear, dings, and scratches from typical use. Please note there is a small crack in the stock on the bottom of rifle in front of the magazine well and on right side near receiver. The rear sight base is loose and will need to be silver soldered in place to secure it permanently.
