French Châtellerault 1907/15 Berthier Rifle, Serial Number 87583

This rifle is in fair to good surplus condition. The bolt is is tough to open but once it is open it cycles and fires properly. The bolt is not matching numbers.

The bore is in fair to good condition with some erosion towards the muzzle end. The wood is in fair to good condition, showing handling wear, dings, and scratches from typical use. Please note there are 2 cracks in the stock on the right side towards the rear. There is also a small chunk of wood missing from the front left section of the stock in between the barrel bands. The rear sight base is loose and will need to be silver soldered in place to secure it permanently.
