B Grade Model 1888/95 Mannlicher Rifle
These guns come straight out of Ethiopia. The Model 1888/95 rifles are in fair condition. Bores range from poor to good. The stocks will have some dings, dents or cracks. Cracks in the stock are usually in the wrist area and/or near the buttplate and generally can be repaired/reinforced with some work. May have a missing piece of wood such as near the toe of the stock. These rifles may also have some light pitting or surface rust in some areas. The rifles often have a missing safety lever. These guns are true, authentic pieces of history and should not be missing in any WW1 and Austro-Hungarian firearms collection. Please keep in mind that these guns are 130 years old and back then there were no “non Corrosive” primers available. Many of these rifles were used by the Austro-Hungarian military and have unit markings, as well as property markings of “AOI”, Africa Orientale Italiana, when the Italians claimed these weapons and used them from 1935 to 1941. Please note that the rear sight slider may be missing.
This is a great chance to get this historical rifle for your collection!

I cannot begin to describe how pleased I am with this purchase. First the external condition. The rifle is dirty and I expected that. And it is wired wheeled, also expected. But the stock and metal condition is great other than that. There is only on small crack at the tang that is easy to repair. All the parts are there except for the safety. Which is mentioned in the description. Bolt is stiff but a cleaning should fix that. The bore on this gun is in great shape for what it is. Nice deep groves and should clean up nicely. If this is what they all look like I can happily recommend this item. This was my first purchase and will happily shop here again.
