Enfield No.1 Mk 3 – Serial Number 793
This Enfield No. 1 Mk 3 rifle is in fair overall condition. This rifle was made in 1902 at LSA Co. It was updated with a charger conversion (stripper clip guide) in 1911 as indicated by the markings on the left side of the receiver socket. The rifle has likely been shortened at the front; it appears the barrel was cut down at some point. The bore is in poor condition. The metal condition is generally fair with some imperfections listed below.
There is some pitting on the left and right sides of the magazine, as well as on the bolt. There is also a small piece of wood missing on the right side of barrel and on the front of the buttstock.
The rifle passes a basic function test.
Includes it’s original early type magazine.
