DWM Model 1906 Navy Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Spurious Markings

This Model 1906 Navy Luger semi-automatic pistol was manufactured by DWM. The top of the barrel extension is engraved with a spurious Great Seal of the United States, with a spurious “A.E. Stoeger Inc / New York” marking on the right side. The toggle is marked with the intertwined DWM monogram, and the left side of the breechblock bears an Imperial German naval crown proof.

The metal components exhibit a reapplied blued finish overall, with some small parts showing a reheated straw finish. The frame is fitted with replacement two-piece checkered wood grips and features a grip safety.

The muzzle crown has been ground down, and the muzzle/front sight band appears to have been recut. Matching serial numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, trigger, grip safety, barrel, barrel extension, breechblock, toggles, and grips. The takedown lever, grip safety, and grips have been renumbered to match, while remaining parts are unnumbered.

Magazine:
Includes one reblued 8-round magazine with a black synthetic concentric circle base.

Condition:
Metal components retain most of their reapplied blued finish, with areas of wear and thinning showing gray and brown patina, along with scattered light handling marks and areas of light to moderate pitting beneath the finish. The front grip strap shows several noticeable dings with some silvering.

The bore is in good condition, showing strong rifling throughout. The pistol has been test-fired and is 100% functional.

Grips show some smoothing, light handling marks, and minor impressions from storage, but remain sturdy and serviceable. The left grip has minor chipping around the magazine release button and a small chip in the upper right corner near the safety lever.

Overall, this is a great entry-level Navy Luger and a solid addition to any Luger collection.
