We have for sale 1 Steyr M.95 Carbine Serial Number 1479D hand selected out of our batch of rifles that arrived from Ethiopia. This carbine started out as an 8x50R rifle built in 1916 according to the barrel date and long rifle rear sight. It was then later updated to 8x56R, S converted by the Austrian military. The front barrel band is matching to the receiver, the bolt is unnumbered. The stock is in good condition however it does have a small crack the toe that is secured/repaired with a screw. This rifle was completely disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled. This rifle has a fair bore with faint rifling, but does need additional cleaning. Please see the photos above for more detail on the finish, etc. The rear sling swivel appears to have been relocated from the wrist to the left side of the buttstock. This rifle is 100% guaranteed functional and shootable.
