We have for sale 1 1871 Mauser Carbine manufactured by Mauser in 1877. This carbine appears to be all numbers matching, having a numbers matching barrel, barrel bands, bolt assembly, small screws, buttplate, etc. The bore on this particular rifle is poor, some rifling is visible but it needs a thorough cleaning. The carbine is likely chambered in 11mm Mauser, but we do not have the ammunition available to confirm this 100%. The finish on this rifle is fair. The wood is in fair to good condition, has some handling wear, dings and scratches from typical use. Please note, this rifle’s bolt has been modified back into a straight handle. This can be bent back into place with some time and effort, however we are selling this example as is.
