Description

We have a 1 Mle 1885 French Kropatschek Rifles chambered in 11x59Rmm Gras. St. Etienne manufactured very few of these rifles as shortly after they entered production, the Lebel was introduced as a new standard model and this rifle was phased out not long after. This particular rifle was made in 1887. The bolt is fully operational as well as the cartridge lifter. The bolt and floorplate are matching numbers to the receiver, the gun appears to be all matching numbers. There is no major pitting visible, just finish wear as shown by the photos. The foreend of the stock is cracked, while the rear section is mostly intact with a small crack present. The rear sight is missing it’s slider however the base and main leaf is present as shown in the photos. The ejector screw appears to be field crafted, not original. This is a rare rifle and is sold as is. Once cleaned and fully repaired, it will be a beautiful gun and would make a great addition to any collection. Cleaning rod not included.

This is an extremely rare rifle, get this one while you can!
